Homages Flow for the Reiners as Medical Examiner's Findings Remain Under Wraps.

More than two weeks after the tragic deaths of celebrated film director Rob Reiner and his partner, photographer Michele Reiner, the entertainment community are still paying respects to the duo.

Quoting a Classic: Cary Elwes Recalls His Director

Writing on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who starred in Reiner's beloved 1987 film *The Princess Bride*, mentioned he only now felt able to post publicly about his profound loss.

"Enough time has elapsed that I can at last articulate my loss into words," shared Elwes, adding that his introductory moment with Reiner left him smitten. "As we began spending more time together I understood this was someone I longed to have in my life."

The actor posted never-before-seen clips from the film, adding that he could not remember "a single day without mirth".

"The movie is about devotion, fidelity and selflessness. Values that Rob cherished deeply. This is one of the many reasons he was the ideal person to helm it," Elwes expressed.

He also paid tribute Michele Reiner, noting: "Claiming that they were a formidable pair would be an understatement. My heart still pangs every time I remember you." He finished with a line from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but living is anguish without you."

Martin Scorsese Remembers a Colleague and Comrade

In a different piece, acclaimed director Martin Scorsese paid homage to Reiner, whom he first met in the 1970s.

"Immediately, I loved being with Rob. We had a innate rapport for each other. He was very funny and sometimes acutely humorous, but he was never the kind of guy who would dominate the room," Scorsese shared.

Scorsese highlighted Reiner's acting part in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, playing the father of the lead role.

"He was skilled at improv with the best. He was a virtuoso at comedy, he worked wonderfully with everyone, and he understood the emotional dilemma of his character," Scorsese added.

Legal Developments: Autopsy Reports Sealed

In a new development, a Los Angeles superior court judge agreed to bar the publication of the Reiners' post-mortem findings, after an appeal from the Los Angeles Police Department.

A legal directive put a restriction on the files to restrict the public release of "all case details, documents, files or images" pertaining to the probe.

The relevant authority had already determined their deaths were the consequence of murder, with a public database citing the cause as "wounds from an edged weapon".

Aftermath and Reactions

After the deaths, public figures expressed varying reactions.

Former President Donald Trump posted on the matter, providing controversial claims that were widely condemned by numerous commentators.

Podcaster Joe Rogan lent his criticism to the detractors last week. Talking on his podcast, Rogan labeled the comments as "disturbing" and implied they demonstrated a concerning absence of compassion.

Rogan concluded by suggesting that an aide should have acted when the decision to weigh in on the death was made.
